My goal for this blog is to share my fitness, wellness journey since having a baby, while my fitness will always reign (addiction) i also highly believe in the wellness side, especially with working in the wellness sector. With this belief, i also believe in sharing the knowledge i gain from working with such amazing Chiropractors and wellness gurus. Not only have they broadened my thoughts and challenged me, frustrated me by making me feel helpless (wanting to help others and not knowing how) but they have helped educate me and helped me see the society that we live in and the future we are heading towards if this knowledge doesn't get to EVERYONE!
Everyday im challenged and frustrated (good)by this knowledge and frustrated (bad) by knowing how deeply scarred society is, and how terrible the pharmaceutical companies are - To encourage drugs and surgeries (needing more drugs) just to line their own pockets and keeping every human sick and reliant rather then well and independent from drugs. Its a disgusting misuse of authority and education and power by these companies and majority of Drs out there. My Dr for instant, hands out prescriptions quicker then they can write them! Without proper checks or suggesting a diet change or maybe lay off the bad toxic foods and try more fresh products and exercise and stress relief etc, they simply assume whats wrong and go straight for the drugs. Making sure that we don't actually rid ourselves of whats wrong but band-aid it for a few months or so and then HAVE to come back for another issue.
Im currently reading what is quite possibly the most intriguing, informative, eye opening book into our human race and the high levels of sickness that continually keep rising despite all the so called amazing medicines out there.
What amazes me about this book (im only 24 pages in!!!) is how completely accurate and truthful the authors words are. The first couple of paragraphs i came across in this book by the author that really spoke to me were these -
'The fact is that the single greatest determinant of whether you will get sick or stay well IS YOUR LIFESTLE CHOICES. This is an INDISPUTABLE FACT. Once it is understood that how we eat, move, think and interact is the cause of Chronic illness, the fact that changing these behaviours is the only viable option to prevent and/or recover from Chronic Illness becomes self-evident. The FACT is that the only way to create a society with fewer sick people and more healthy people is to adopt lifestyle behaviours that are genetically congruent, that promote the genetic expression of health and prevent the genetic expression of unsustainable adaption, fatigue and illness'
Why have we created this life for us IF the alternative can keep us healthier? Answer - The powers above, Drs, Educators etc have lead us to believe that medicine will cure it all and we have allowed ourselves to change the natural ways of living (fresh foods, untouched products) because we think we know that if we get ill we will be fixed with a pill. That and so m
any are not familiar with the dangers or possible dangers that come with eating toxin laden foods or doing no exercise or thinking negatively. It all affects the nerves in the body which in turn can play havoc on our imune system, leaving us open to the nasties out there. To me the above is so simple, eat well, move well, think well, and interact well will make you healthy. Simple.
'The FACT is that no drug or surgery will EVER be the wellness and prevention solution for illnesses caused by malnutrition or over eating or the ingestion of toxins in our foods. No drug or surgery will EVER be the wellness or prevention solution for problems caused by sedentary living or poor physical fitness. No drug or surgery will EVER be the wellness or prevention solution for problems caused by lack of self esteem, lack of life satisfaction or lack of positive attitudes, thoughts, emotions and social relationships'
This one i think is simply education - we all think that some drugs or a surgery will heal our issues, only to have it spread, reappear or take form of another illness. Drugs and Surgery will never be the answer. But until we all accept our body as an amazing tool and we start fueling it with what it needs rather then what it doesn't, we will never see that our body can heal itself without the need for harsh chemicals or unnecessary surgeries.
I have never been one to pop a headache pill or take antibiotics. I have always tried to live well - Have had some major bumps in the road that has lowered my immune system and allowed me to get sicker quicker then anyone i know, but always refused medication as i gym and play sport so outwardly I have always been fit and healthy so why ruin my insides with antibiotics or medication? I have always tried seeking alternative options prior to a Dr visit. Since receiving regular Chiropractic adjustments i don't get sick, for someone who was sick weekly, im still in a state of shock, but as im gaining more and more knowledge i am seeing how possible it is to live a life without illness! Who doesn't want that!
Working with Chiropractors who believe so highly in wellness and allowing the body to heal i have picked up a few things - One is from one of our Drs here - Dr Adam Smith, who while being a Chiropractor is also a wellness guru and published author - Knows his stuff. His common way to describe his role is this -
'Chiropractors see the Human Body as a self healing system that will get better if the interference to that healing is removed. A common site of interference is surrounding the spine, hence this is why Chiropractors focus on your nervous system'
For one who hasn't seen a Chiropractor before will assume its about cracking the back and/or neck. Chiropractors don't crack backs or necks, they correct the spine's movement. Correcting the problem areas, maintaining these visits and removing that interference, allows the body to self heal, lifts the immune system by 400% and helps you feel, for lack of a better word - Well.
Chiropractic, alternative options from Drs or drugs and a healthy active life is for anyone and everyone regardless of age! Never to young or to old to change your habits and live a happy healthy, fullfilling, well life! My 17 month old son Jackson now attends a chiropractor weekly, maintains an active play life and eats well and the change in him is fantastic, i have a baby who can now fight off most niggly bugs that surround the childcare system! Who doesn't want that!

The ups and downs of parenthood
So tonight I read a sweet little note - meant to be written by a small child to their parents- it was spot on and brought a tear to my eye.
The gist was that everything that is happening now, the tantrums, the nightly wake ups, the carrying, the wiping a dirty face, separation anxiety etc will soon go, the things that we as parents find challenging or frustrating will go and will leave us wishing we had of enjoyed the moment, no matter how exhausting or tough or hard it may have been.
We never want our kids to grow up or to at least slow down the growing up yet we may scold, or yell, or smack or time out or remove toys etc when the child is naughty or whinge about changing nappies after you have already changed 10 that day, or be annoyed when your own sleep is disrupted by a crying, restless child - who has probably just had bad dream or is cold or thirsty or just wants a cuddle- instead we see all of this as an interruption into our time, our sleep, our rest, our day off. Most parents that read this may say they are the worlds greatest parents who never feel this way but the honest ones will have felt this way, once or twice.
While i don't think it's a bad thing to ever feel frustrated or exhausted and unable to handle another public tantrum I think we forget that it's just a stage and it will pass ( not that this helps at 2 in the morning and you have run on no sleep from the night before), the waking at night for little reasons will soon pass, they will be able to get themselves a drink, or pull their blankets back up onto themselves.
I have most definitely felt frustrated and exhausted after an interrupted sleep, I have felt annoyed when Jackson has whinged and whinged or wouldn't stop crying. Of course I have! I'm human, I feel and i stress, not to mention this is the first time I've been a mum, every stage Jackson goes through is brand new and terrifying. My next child, I may be one of those mums who just goes from stage to stage knowing what will happen and how to handle it! How I envy those mums. The ones that know it all! How many kids does that take? To be a professional mum? Who know every stage, know every way to deal with it? Please say its just two! Otherwise god help my kids.
There have been times that I've thrown my arms in the air and wondered what the hell am I doing wrong, why isn't he listening to me, why doesn't he understand me, what can i do to stop the whinging! Jackson is the sweetest, most loving child and well behaved but damn can he throw a tantrum and whinge when he wants to! I step back and know it has to be just as frustrating for him to not be able to get across what he wants or needs as it is for me to try work out what he wants when he is whinging.
Despite the occasional corner sitting where I'm rocking back and forth I know that I will look back at these hard times and miss them, want them back, relive the nights he was sick and just wanted cuddles, the nights where he just wanted to play ALL NIGHT and the days when he would chuck tantrums cause he wanted to explore but wasn't allowed for safety reasons or when he just wanted to be glued to me, no one else would do.
They grow to fast and although the current stage may be difficult, they are your child, be patient, be supportive and by all means drink copious amounts of wine once they are in bed, but remember, it is all going to be gone in such a short time after all they grow up so fast, to fast to sit and worry about a tantrum or lack of sleep. Enjoy every minute, know your not alone in your feelings, take a break yes, but love your child, cuddle your child, enjoy every filthy nappy, endure every tantrum with a smile,
teach your child words (good words) and live in the moment with your creation, it happens once with that particular child, don't waste it.
On that note, I'm going to to sneak a cuddle from my sleeping baby before he wakes up. ;)

Gay Marriage. Why so hard to accept?
I haven't posted in awhile and I'm usually posting about fitness etc but today I have read an article that makes me want to write about.
It was an article about gay marriage, they interviewed three men for and three men against gay marriage. Their reasons varied and even the against were quite intelligent and not hateful. But it made me think about some of the religious reasons that they brought up as to why gay marriage shouldn't be allowed.
Religion states that a marriage is between a man and a woman as their love produces a baby and that it is forever. It states that divorce is a no no as is indiscretions etc.
Unfortunately times have changed since these 'rules' how many marriages don't result in children? Whether its by choice or not. Does this mean these marriages shouldn't have happened? If after all the point of marriage is to produce children?
How many marriages end in divorce due to cheating or simply not working or abuse etc and how many get married simply for money or because you slipped in birth control and are now expecting? How many marry for all the wrong reasons? Again should these marriages have not happened because of this knowledge or does it not matter how much they ruin the meaning of marriage because they are of opposite sex?
Also- a marriage has always been in a church, with religious vows. How many now get married in a park, on a beach? How many write their own vows, don't have prayers and do it their own way? Does having that choice on your wedding day to say what you want, marry your love in a setting that is less then traditional mean that your doomed to fail or that it isn't a real marriage under the eyes of these marriage know it alls?
Just because a marriage is technically between a man and woman and in a church surrounded by god doesn't mean it will end in a fairy tale. Doesn't mean a baby will be born, doesn't mean they won't cheat or won't fight or end in divorce etc. Why do these marriages plus marriages that have done it their own way way mean more then gay marriages, despite going against the original term or a marriage.
Same sex marriages aren't ruining the sanctity of marriage, they are simply taking love and marriage to a new level, just like opposite sex marriages did when they decided to go against church weddings and marry under the stars or on the beach or at their favourite park or holiday destination. I believe a marriage is between two people who are in love, who see their lives together until they are old and grey, they may have kids, they may not, but they will be in love, they will argue, they will make up and at the end of the day despite everything else they will go to bed together and say I love you. That to me seems like something anyone in a loving relationship can do, same sex or opposite, why must people continue to fight it and label it when all anyone wants when they decide to get married is to spend the rest of their lives with their loved one. I support marriage. Simple.

Diet and Supplements
I have had a few girls ask me about the supplements I take, why I'm taking them and also what food I'm eating and how often. I've also had some comments that I'm not eating or harming myself to be thin.
Firstly I will touch on the negative things and the food. I have had a history of not being nice to my body. However for the last 5 or so years Ive had a complete turn around, still a love hate relationship with food but I was no longer being horrible to my body. In the last 21months so during pregnancy plus all of Jacs life - more so jacs life I have re educated myself about food, supplements, exercise etc. I've asked people, I've read things, I've listened and I've tried what other people do. All of this has allowed me to find out what works for my body and what doesn't.
I now have a baby to look after, he needs me completely, which means, I can't be harming myself, starving or lacking in anything as it affects Jackson, if I'm sick, I can't play, I can't do whatever Jac needs. So for those who have thought it, think it or say it behind my back I say this - my priority is my son, always will be, my new fitness journey is for him, I will be a role model for Jackson, I will show him eating well is good, exercising is good and being active, playing sports is what all kids should be doing, I will not allow my son to be part of the 80% of obeses, overweight or fat Australians. I have to set a good example for him, show him that being healthy is the way to be, he will not be heart attack, diabetes or stroke material - how can I do any of that if I myself do not live a healthy, active lifestyle? For those who wish to throw negativity my way, go for it, it will not stop me from being a positive influence on my son, myself or my friends. I do not aim to be thin, I aim to be fit, lean, strong and healthy.
I lean up super quickly on my upper body, I lose weight first on this part of body, do not confuse leanness with being thin. I have muscles in my arms, my back and my abs, if I was thin, I would not have this muscle definition. My body would be lacking therefore muscle wouldn't be developing. I'm
simply very lean. Everyone loses weight quicker off some part of their body, mine is torso, of course
I watch this, hence why I do not spend alot of time on abs or arms. I know how easily I lean, I do not target these areas, I let my daily life look after those bits. (Working, lifting jac, laughing etc etc)
Not only am I not harming my body but I have lost a cold that I have had for almost 2 years! I'm providing my body with everything it needs and my cold has gone, any little niggly sickness I have gotten now goes within days. I am healthy.
Food wise - I eat turkey mince with veggies and red curry paste twice a day, I eat dinner which is either a chicken salad or more turkey mince and veggies. I do not like meat, I eat what I can stomach and that's it. My food is boring but filling and does what it needs to do. For breakfast I eat whole grain muffins with avocado spread, sliced tomato and bean sprouts, I eat 3 muffin halves. For snacks I have fruit or veggies at morning and afternoon tea plus a protein shake at both of those times. After dinner is my biggest issue, I usually have to eat something before I go to bed otherwise I wake with belly pains. It is usually more muffins, crackers with vegemite or the occasional corn chips, tiny teddies, cold rock. During the day if I want a treat I will. I try to be good all day everyday but fail alot!
Now supplement wise - these are what I'm currently taking
I take - wpi by international protein, as I don't eat alot of meat I want and need extra protein, this one is yummy, low in fat and carbs and assists recovery (big thing for me as I'm injury prone) I take this 2-3 times a day with water
Dfine8- this is a weight management/assister plus energy booster. This i take once a day and only during week if im exercising. I take this for its mood enhances, energy increase before a workout and it assists in leaning me up. This helped me lose all baby weight so I love it! This one tastes amazing
aswell.
Amino recovery by international protein - I sip on this during workouts and during day if I feel tight and sore. Great for recovery on my tired muscles
Multivitamins - general health
Hair skin, nails tablets - general health
These are what work for me, these are what my body has responded to and is happy with. Supplements add to a healthy attitude and lifestyle and allows my body to keep up with everything
I'm doing. Especially providing energy to work, look after Jac and a house and dayne!
My blogs and my photos are designed to motivate, to encourage and to show that with persistence anything is possible. I have proved that hard work, healthy eating, no denying yourself, supplements and exercise will give you a body you can be proud of. We should be encouraging a healthy lifestyle not being negative, nasty or disbelieving. It has become the norm to knock down those who want to achieve a good body, it must come from bad habits or good genes and those who aren't carrying alot of weight must be sick or harming themselves. I'm out to show it comes from knowing what you want, being educated and informed enough to be able to go and get it. I want more mums, more women to know they can achieve healthy, they do not need to let go of themselves just because they have kids or a husband or a house to look after. You are the rock in someone's life, you are the teacher, the one who they look to, their role model, don't let them down because your afraid to start, afraid to ask for help or afraid to have negative comments thrown at you. Start today, you won't regret it I promise.

Exercise plan for limited space/equipment
I have recently (just over a month) began full time work again. This has meant no daily gym routine/ cardio time. A thought that, yes, frightened me. As I cannot sit still for long and need to exercise I had to come up with an exercise plan that gave me some cardio, weights and overall body workout while I was at work and while I have limited equipment etc. My little plan has given me a chance to workout my entire body rather then me selecting exercises that only work certain areas, cut down on my obsession with working out and given me some much needed change in my regular workout plan.
Few things I've noticed with this new plan
1. Results were fast and obvious
2. Hungrier, but for good filling foods
3. Stronger in areas I had limited strength
4. Greater strength in areas that have always been good but lacked the strength to go to next level
5. Feeling more content after workouts now - like I had in a lot and gotten a lot out of it.
My little plan is
3- 4 sets of the following
10 times chair lunges with weights if possible - each leg
10 times one legged dead lift with weights if possible - each leg
10 times kettle bell squats
10 times kettle bell swings
10 times walking lunges with weights if possible
10 times calf raises - I do these on a leg press but you can do on a stair
10 times squats - I do on a squat rack with weights - I have just reduced weight and increased to 20 rather then 10 as its hurting knees less - you can do standing squats with weight
10 times squat pulses - again I do on squat rack and 20 instead of 10- you can do standing with weights
10 times ab - either planks, wall sits, crunches, crunches with side twist or crunch with legs in air and touch toes.
I do this work out twice in morning and if shop is quiet I do twice in afternoon. Always try to do three sets.
This workout works my legs (which I love and focus on) my arms and back (which I've never
focused on) and my abs (which I try to do some ab work usually)
I'm usually exhausted by end of my sets and feeling every inch of my body. This to me is a good sign! A sign it is working. Plus it really is quite fun to do, Jackson makes it fun also as he try's to copy what I do. Always good to have a laugh while exercising, if your enjoying it you will keep doing it.
It may seem a lot still, however I really have slowed it down since being back at work. With my new eating, my more relaxed approach and this plan not only have I seen results but I'm not as hard on myself and healthier. For instance, today, I've done no exercise as yet, I've watched iPad movies with Jac, eaten some tiny teddies and cheezels along with my usual daily food. I no longer stress over what I've eaten and try over exercising to make up for it. I chill, I've relaxed and the results are speaking for themselves.
So less pressure on yourselves girls, just enjoy your workout, love your foods, even your tiny teddies or cheezels - whatever your naughty food is, enjoy them once in awhile and your clean
eating/exercising/supplement taking will have more chance of lasting, therefore your new healthy, fit, happy self will happen sooner and last longer.

End of teatox
This is a little bit late but better late then never as they say!
So I finished my teatox a week ago and I'm still seeing the affects of it which I find to be amazing! I tried this tea out purely out of curiosity and a dash of sceptisim. A tea that helps remove waste, reduce weight, improve hair and eye quality. Pfft! Load of bunk but as my exercise routine has dropped, my body had plateaued and I felt off I decided I needed to try something anything to get me moving again. After trying this tea I am still left amazed at what it has done and for those who have read my blogs have seen that I have recommended others try it, which many of you have! So yay you for taking another step to a healthy body.
So my changes I've seen since the teatox - eyes are clearer, skin is nicer, smoother and 'plump', hair, my hair has always been thick as my dear friend and hairdresser Krista will agree to :) but now it's not only thicker then normal, but softer, shinier, stronger (and I had had about 3 bleach washes and dyes in this hair just prior to this teatox so hair was d e d dead) and has grown faster then normal. A sure sign that my body is healthy! I also have seen better memory, a healthier appetite, wanting more food but good foods. Weight wise, I honestly didn't have alot to lose prior to this, just more tweaking, toning and a tiny bit of weight to drop, so I didn't see a huge difference in weight loss like some other teatox girls have but I have seen my body become leaner, drop water weight, be plumper.
Overall I am extremely happy with the tea and am about to start another of their teas so will do further blogs about that one also.
The one downside I've seen with the tea, which isn't really a downside but more of an affect I didn't see coming. Since using the tea I had at the same time cleaned up my diet (more due to not exercising as much and developing a healthier relationship with food) which meant I tried cutting back on a lot of things, dairy, breads and meat. Now though, when I've eaten breads or dairy I seem to react to those things. Bloating, nauseous and just an off feeling. It seems strange, yes,but I feel like, the tea has allowed me to start again with my body but this time paying attention to what I put in and in doing that I have found things that are upsetting my stomach and I'm learning to work around that and try different things in order to keep body, happy healthy while still receiving the nutrients it needs.
This tea, for me, was exactly what my body needed, a freshen up, a safe and healthy way of cleansing, removing waste and giving me a clean slate to work with.

Inspire, motivate, help.
I just had a lovely message from a beautiful girlfriend of mine. It's what has made me write today's little blog. She text me to say that I have inspired her and she is getting some of the tea I'm harping on about! That wasn't the beautiful part, alot of my girlfriends are getting the tea (which is fantastic, I love that I have so many healthy friends) but it was that I inspire her. *melt*
This is why I write these blogs, this is why I post the photos. Not to make people angry, jealous, depressed, annoyed or sick of me. I do it because i want to motivate, inspire and help. I love exercise, I love feeling and looking good nude, I love pleasing my partner and I love feeling happy with myself and I think every single female should feel that same way! This is my contribution to the lives of the women in my life, whether your a good friend, a Facebook only friend, an old school friend or someone that simply has me on fb for a number. I think all these women and should love their bodies, be happy within themselves and want to push themselves every single day.
I'm not saying fit, toned, thin, skinny etc etc is pure happiness. I'm saying that healthy bodies, active lifestyles, exercise, eating good yummy foods are what help make you happy, it helps give you a happier energetic outlook on life, helps you stay well, helps you stay positive and away from feeling down and sad and negative towards life, it prevents yucky health problems, it creates better sex lives (who doesn't want that!!!) it helps turn your insides and outsides into something even more beautiful then it already is and if you want something simple as to why you should aim to get fit, get active and eat well??? YOU WILL LOOK GOOD NUDE and anyone that wants to disagree with that and say they don't care about that, their partner loves them for they are. Pfft, load of bunk! Every human being wants to look good nude even if its just for themselves!
For the first time in a LONG time I am a happy nude. I'm over past bad habits, I'm over aiming for stick thin, I'm over trying to just impress others. I now impress myself and I'm heavier, leaner and stronger then when I was stick thin and sick and I much prefer seeing myself nude now then I did then.
Women put so much pressure on themselves to be like someone else, and I wish I looked different aswell, we all feel it, but I want all my friends to love who they are and turn what they have into something they love even more, appreciate even more and want to look after. Screw trying to be like someone else, it will never happen, be you and be a damn good version of you. I'm not a personal trainer but I will always post my workouts, I'm not a nutritionist and the last person who should give food advice but I will always try to help and tell people what I eat and try, I haven't taken supplements for long but I will push them, I will offer them and I will tell you how they have worked for me. It is then up to if you want to try what i do and see if it works, if you want to tweak what I do so it suits you or if you want to ignore it. I'm simply a girl aiming for an all round healthier, fitter, stronger, sexier body, mind and life. I'm on my way and I truly hope I have inspired just one other person to do the same with their life.

Teatox journey - halfway through
As promised a halfway update on my 14 day teatox. First 7 days have been great, I'm still enjoying the taste of the tea which is a bonus as I have to drink the stuff three times a day! I have always had a super fast metabolism but it is currently out of control fast! It has definitely stopped my during the day cravings and I'm not giving in to the little cravings I randomly still have. This is huge for me as I have no willpower at all and it only takes a slight crave to have me going out and buying lollies, chocolates etc etc. I have still been eating some naughty food but its tiny so I'm impressed with how the tea has controlled those desires. My daily eating and tea routine is this : tea upon waking, breakfast in car on way to work (this allows the required 30minutes between tea and food) and then my dfine8 drink. My mornings snacks are now a banana or some form of fruit/ veggies then nothing until 12 when I have another tea followed by lunch 30minutes later. Lunch has been chicken mince and veggies cooked in either red curry or green curry paste, large serve. Afternoon snack is a protein shake (wpi - banana) and veggies or some soy crisps then nothing until 5, have another tea and then dinner 30 minutes later. Which is usually chicken mince and veggies again with the curry paste. Seems bland and like im starving myself etc but for my bad food history, this is what I need to do to stay on track and healthy for now. (I do eat other foods on weekends!)Plus I'm enjoying it ALOT. The curry pastes gives flavour without ruining the healthiness. Last 7 days with this teatox I have been eating the mince three times a day some days or lots of fruit/ veggie snacks as I still have days of hunger but instead of eating silly, my body is really craving solid veggies and or fruit rather then a sandwich or something like that.
Overall I'm feeling clean, healthier and leaner. My abs are popping like never before, in fact I may need to lay off on ab work for a bit! My legs, the trouble areas are still there, but they to are getting leaner and muscles popping more then normal. Weight wise I've dropped a kilo but still needing toning and tightening (don't we all!!) I have been visiting the toilet alot more but it's meant to be worse coming towards the end of the 14 days! Something to look forward to. No no not really!
My skin is clearer, minimal breakouts even with foundation wearing daily, eyes are brighter and hair is feeling healthier so I am very impressed with this teatox so far. I am not one to starve myself so to have all these health benefits or the weight loss, clean skin and eyes, overall perkiness AND the desire to eat better is the reason why I'm so impressed and so happy to tell everyone to try it!
Now i know last two post with this teatox ive talked about dropping weight and may have some people thinking negatively as most say I don't need to lose weight and in all honesty I don't! BUT we all have a happy body image, mine is the body I had when running, my legs were bigger then most girls, my butt stood up and out, I had definition all over that wasn't super scary but was enough. I was fit, healthy and body felt great. That's what I'm aiming for, not skinny, not tiny (trust me, ive been down the road of wanting to be scary skinny and im still fixing the affects) but toned, healthy and fit so please do not assume I'm a smallish girl looking to be scary skinny, not eat and try any and every diet etc out there. I'm only trying products like this tea tox and my supplements because of the health benefits that are attached to these. I really recommended this tiny tea tox for anyone wanting a body cleanse, lose some yucky waste that's making you think your heavier then you are or just to add to your already healthy lifestyle.

Tea Detox journey
Today I began a tea detox. Tiny teatox it's called. I saw this on someone's Instagram and thought I'd try for myself. I believe there are a few companies that do this tea tox so I will endeavour to try all. The one I'm currently on is from www.yourtea.com.au and it is a 14 day detox.
When I say detox I don't mean I'm only drinking tea for 14 days. For a non tea drinker it would probably kill me! This tea is drunk three times a day 30 mins before breakfast, 30mins before lunch and 30 minds before dinner. It is recommended to be taken on empty stomach and not while your eating anything. It's is also said that while it contains no caffeine it is not to be taken to late at night.
As I said, I am not a tea drinker, I tried green tea due its benefits but nearly spat it all over my lunch companion! So I was hesitant to try this but I read about it and saw its benefits and curiosity and my sceptical side won out and I bought it - around $35 with free postage I believe. I tried it this morning before breaky and I added a dash of lemon. O M G yum! I couldn't put it down, I was happy it tasted good, I really wanted to give this 14 days a whirl, so yay! I have since had my second cup of the day and I'm feeling more alert already but have been visiting the bathroom a bit more then normal! So far so good - except for the need to widdle all the time!
I shall explain what this tea does and what is in it:
The ingredients are:

I shall explain what this tea does and what is in it:
The ingredients are:
Hawthorn Berry,Adzuki Bean,Water Plantain,Alismatis Rhizome,Indian Bread,Tangerine Peel, Germinated Barley,Prunella Spike,Cassia Seed,Semen Phascoli, Semen Raphani! Medicated Leaven,Rhizoma Alismatis,Herba Agastachis - no caffeine!
All very technical ingredients but here is what they all do- banish cellulite, reduce waste and fat, speed up calorie burning and fights food stagnation in body. It also boosts energy and vitality and can clear up skin and eyes. There is a slight laxative to it towards the end of it, after all the tea is cleaning the inside of your body, removing waste, toxins, fat and cellulite, it obviously has to come out somehow! But this is a good thing, it means it worked and that your body is cleansed! Woo hoo.
It says you can see results without altering diet but if your going to cleanse your body with this tea why stop it from giving you the best results because your still eating crap? Now I currently weigh in at 54.9 kilos and have slight cellulite at top of thighs and suffer from low energy in the afternoons so in 14 days after eating clean, exercising every morning and taking this tea three times a day I will see if the hype is correct! Weight loss, clear skin and eyes, no cellulite and improved energy.
I may post some before and after photos if I feel like scaring you all and will do a 7 day update blog.
Until then stay healthy and happy.

Intro blog!
First blog from my new blog spot. I decided to this blog as I am finding more n more girls asking me what I've done to lose baby weight.
Mind you Jackson is almost a year old and I was able to gym everyday so I've had time and opportunity.
However, I am very proud of my efforts as I'm not only at a weight I'm almost happy with but I'm injury free! This means alot to me as Im used to having have a torn muscle somewhere in my body! I actually did my first track session in 4 years a coupe of weeks ago and felt great!
So although i am not qualified in any way I wanted to start this blog to share what i take, do etc to motivate, encourage and convince mummies, women and even guys (who dare to read this) that anyone can get active, get healthy and find that fit, happy person inside all of us!
Fitness for me started when I was 7! I was enrolled into little athletics in Proserpine. From there I competed all through little A's and school athletics. Sprinting is my love, my passion and my talent. I have never truly let go of the dream to run despite tearing every muscle in my legs a number of times! I come from a family of sporties, my mum played hockey and my dad was a runner also, it was always in my makeup to be part of sport I'm sure but this doesn't mean fitness has come easy to me! I can be lazy and refuse to do anything just like everyone else. My downside is that I'm short, I put on weight quickly and I have genetic makeup to be larger. This means I have to workout out, I have to make an effort to keep body weight down.
Now thankfully I love the gym, I love being outside and I love being able to fit into short shorts and crop tops. Who doesn't! I have just had to find a workout that works for my body. Being a sprinter I am lean up top with the ability to get quite muscly in the arms and back - I do very little upper body work because of this and I have big strong legs and butt - this is where my exercise is focused, being a girl fat tends to sit on the bum and thighs anyway but being a sprinter and having a larger area for fat to sit on I really have to attack cardio and lower leg weights. I have fallen in love with the elliptical trainer and squats. Both theses have seen my legs and butt tone, lose weight and become stronger.
I will be putting up the workouts I do in the gym and also what I do if not in a gym. Currently I am working full time so instead of stopping exercise I have built a workout plan I can inside and with the equipment that I currently have to use at work. It's a mix of my sprint drills, my squats, lunges, tiny bit of arm and back work and abs.
I work in supplements and will say prior to this, I never took a supplement, I honestly did not believe in them. BUT since working here I have developed a huge interest in them and cannot believe I hadn't taken anything sooner! My body is stronger, fitter and more importantly healthier due to taking supplements along with exercise and eating right. We push our bodies to the limit with work, socialising and exercising. Even with eating right your body can still lack the required ingredients it needs to keep up with your busy life and exercise routine without falling apart or stalling. Supplements help push you to the next level and push past any slump you get into if exercising for prolonged time frames. The stuff I take has helped me trim down, tone up, recover quickly (huge huge thing for me) and push on to the next level even when I'm fatigued!
For the record, I don't just do all this to be super thin or super lean, I do this for my health, my mind (exercise makes me happy, less stressed and internally a better person) my love of fitness, for Dayne and for Jackson. I want to be fit and healthy in order to chase him around and play and be a positive role model for now and for as he gets older. But I do do it also because fit is sexy and honestly who doesn't want to look in the mirror and be proud of what they see and have achieved?
Stay tuned for next instalment where I will detail the supplements I take and why I chose to take them!
(Remember visit staunchsupplements.com.au for all your supplement needs or call me and I will hook you up.)
